Art is about connecting with people on a deep, intuitive level - Marina Abramović
ABOUT HARDCORE CUDDLE CLUB
The Hardcore Cuddle Club was launched on February 14, 2025, as a response to the political and social state we are living in. In times like these, we need comfort, connection, and love. We need cuddles.
A good cuddle slows down the heart rate and decreases the level of stress hormones in our bodies. In turn, cuddling makes us feel calm, safe, and relaxed. It makes us feel connected.
Do you need a cuddle?
You are invited to cuddle the artist.
Membership in the Hardcore Cuddle Club is free.
RULES OF HARDCORE CUDDLE CLUB
Cuddles are 10-20 minutes. Longer cuddles can be arranged.
Cuddling may include hugging, snuggling, spooning, slow dancing, massage, and more.
All cuddling is strictly consensual and any personal boundaries will be discussed prior to participating, including touch, triggers, comfort levels, and clothing options.
Cuddling may be arranged in private or public spaces.
Cuddles are open to everybody and every body. Group cuddles will also be considered.
If agreed upon, photos or video may be taken to document the project.

ABOUT THE ARTIST
Nelson Santos is an artist, curator, educator, and founder of the Hardcore Cuddle Club.
Santos creates objects and experiences to tell queer stories, build community and share magic. His art practice uses multi-disciplinary materials, including sculpture, photography, video, installation, and performance, but he is more interested in the experience of the viewer/participant than the object. Santos has exhibited in New York, Chicago, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Miami, Spain, and Japan. He received his MFA from The Art Institute of Chicago, is an AIM Fellow; Queer|Art Mentor; and knighted by The Imperial Court of New York for his art activism. He currently teaches at the School of Visual Arts.
Santos lives and works in Brooklyn, Land of the Lenape, with his husband and their rescue dog Timmy. To see more of his work, please visit nelsonsantosart.com
